The Little Miami school district consists of Little Miami High School, Little Miami Junior High School, Little Miami Intermediate School, and Hamilton-Maineville Elementary School in Hamilton Township and Salem Township Elementary School in Morrow.[5]

History

In 2008, facing increased enrollment during a recession,[6] Little Miami Schools began severe budget cuts. During the next two years, seven school levy proposals were defeated, leading the Ohio Department of Education to declare a "fiscal emergency" and take over the district. As of November 2010, the school board is discussing a possible 2012 dissolution of Little Miami into six adjacent districts: Blanchester, Clinton-Massie, Goshen, Kings, Lebanon, and Loveland.[2]
